School Building Relocation — Our Core Service

Modular Logistics exists to move modular buildings for schools. We do not sell buildings — we plan, deliver, remove and rehome prefab classrooms and educational units so that schools, colleges and early-years providers can adapt their facilities without the complexity of managing a move themselves.

Every project begins with a site assessment: access routes, ground conditions, overhead obstacles and timing constraints. From there we handle permits, crane hire, lifting, road escorts where required, and final placement — whether the building is arriving fresh to a campus, being lifted off an old foundation, or travelling to a new location in another county or country.

What We Do for Schools

Building Delivery

Deliver modular classrooms and educational units to school sites. Includes route planning, crane placement, levelling and handover ready for connection to services.

Building Removal

Lift and remove surplus or end-of-life modular units from school grounds. We clear the site safely, leaving foundations or hardstanding ready for the next phase of your project.

On-Site Relocation

Move modular buildings to a different position within the same school campus — for example, reshaping a prefab village or making room for new construction.

Cross-Border Rehoming

Relocate modular school buildings between Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. We manage permits, escorts and customs documentation for international moves.

Site Planning & Surveys

Pre-move surveys covering access, load-bearing ground, service connections and scheduling around term dates and exam timetables.

Fully Insured Moves

Comprehensive insurance coverage throughout delivery, removal and relocation — giving school boards confidence that the building is protected at every stage.

How a Typical School Relocation Works

Our process is designed around the realities of running a school — limited site access, tight deadlines and minimal disruption to pupils.

1

Site Survey

We visit your school, assess the building and site access, and agree a timeline that works around your academic calendar.

2

Move Plan

Detailed planning covering routes, permits, crane requirements, escort vehicles and any foundation or service preparation needed.

3

Preparation

Building secured for lifting, services disconnected where necessary, and the site prepared for crane access on the agreed date.

4

Lift & Move

Professional crane lift and road move with real-time coordination. For international rehoming, customs and cross-border permits are handled by our team.

5

Placement & Handover

Building positioned, levelled and ready for reconnection. Final inspection and sign-off with your facilities team.
